Employee Computer Options
The SEHD provisions a laptop or desktop for regular full-time employees. Laptops are recommended for mobility and hybrid work possibilities. All computers come with Office 365, Zoom and other university software - including 5TB of personal storage on OneDrive.
You may choose an Apple/Mac or a Dell/PC from the recommended configurations below.
- Dell Latitude 3550- 15.6" Display, i7 Processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB Storage - with Warranty
- Apple MacBook Air - 15" Display, M3 Processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB Storage - with Warranty
- Apple MacBook Air - 13" Display, M3 Processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB Storage - with Warranty
- Apple MacBook Pro - 14" Display, M4 Processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB Storage - with Warranty
The SEHD will cover the first $1800 which covers these configurations. This funds the computer only. If you require an extra monitor and/or a docking station or specialized software - these are extras that may be funded via program or professional development funds.
If
you prefer something more or different than these configurations, work
with us to spec out the exact hardware/software you’d prefer and the
funding mechanism for covering anything over $1800. Keep in mind that special requests/configurations will delay delivery, because they will not be in stock.
NOTE: not all devices on the public Apple/Dell stores are available to the university.Browse and pick what you wish, and we’ll check on availability and/or make recommendations.
