How to Setup the Microsoft Bookings App

This guide will walk you through the steps of setting up your own bookings page with Microsoft Bookings.

How to Get the App

  • Sign in to your Microsoft Outlook account using your web browser.
  • Click on the dotted grid icon at the top left corner of your screen to access the App Launcher.






  • In the popup window, under Apps, locate and click on the Bookings app, which will open the app in a new tab.

    (Please note: If you can't find the app, click Explore all your Apps at the bottom of the popup window.)



How to Set Up the App


  • Once the Bookings app launches, click Go to my booking page on the Bookings homepage to access your booking page.



  • On your bookings page, there are two options on where you can enter information:

    • Public
      The information you enter here will appear on your booking page.
    • Private
      The information you enter here will only be visible to colleagues/students with whom you share the link.

      To ensure your booking details are available to colleagues/students, select Public.






  • Next, click the (+) icon to create a new meeting type.





  • Enter the information for the meeting you want to create.




    • Add a Title
      (Please note: Adding a title is required for the new meeting type before you can save the meeting.)
    • Category (Optional)
    • Add a Description (Optional)
    • Location (add your CU Denver Zoom link).
      • Turn off Teams Meeting and add your personal CU Denver Zoom link.
      • To locate your CU Denver Zoom Link, open a new tab in your web browser and sign in to your CU Denver Zoom account.
      • Navigate to Meetings > Personal Room and copy your Zoom invite link.





      • Next, return to your Bookings with me tab and paste your Zoom invite link into the Location box.


    • Duration

      Specify meeting duration. The default duration is 30 minutes, but there are other choices in the dropdown menu: 15 mins, 45 mins, 1 hr, and Custom.
      • Public or Private

        Ensure Public is selected.


      • Schedule Customization

        There are two options available:

      • Use my regular meeting hours
      • Use custom availability hours

        If you're unsure of your regular meeting hours, click See regular meeting hours, and a new tab will open. The Microsoft Outlook Settings window will open. Select Calendar and click Work hours and location to view and edit your regular meeting hours.






  • Click Save



  • Your Bookings page has now been updated.




  • To see how your bookings page will appear to others, click Share > Copy link.



  • Paste the link in the URL/Search bar in a new browser tab and press Enter/Return.
