Mapping Drives in Windows 11

Note: You'll need to be connected to the CU network or, if you are off campus, over VPN.

If you haven't set up VPN on your machine follow this guide first.

1. Open File Explorer

Click the Start Menu, then "File Explorer"

In the Window that launches, click 'This PC' on the left hand side menu

Click the 3 dots "..." button and select "Map network drive"

2. Input drive information and connect

After you click "Map network drive," a window will pop up where you will need to input the drive you'd like to connect to, you can choose any drive letter that is not currently in use. The image below shows how it would look if you were connecting to Queue drive.

If you need to connect to a different drive, use the address starting with \\ below.

Queue Drive: \\data.ucdenver.pvt\dept\sehd\rhino\queue

T Drive: \\data.ucdenver.pvt\dept\sehd\rhino\grants

ClinicData: \\data.ucdenver.pvt\dept\sehd\rhino\clinicdata

P Drive: \\data.ucdenver.pvt\home\username (your CU Denver username) (most people no longer use this and instead should be using OneDrive)

3. Finishing setup

After you have input the file path and selected the drive, click "Finish".

If you are using a personal device you will be asked to enter your CU Denver credentials. If so type in your credentials and click "OK."
